The Big Books and FWNY

It's September and that means two things; The arrival of the big autumn editions of our favorite magazines - Vogue, W, In Style, French Elle, Vanity Fair and Fashion Week New York. I look forward to both with tremendous anticipation.
Anna Wintour has done it again with a most fabulous edition of Vogue. Inspiring images, gorgeous couture stories and smart editorial are enough to keep me occupied for hours. I especially loved the Little Red Riding Hood layout and the piece on Georgia O'Keeffe. Vanity Fair is featuring our own beloved fashionista Jackie O with a cover and a beautiful fashion layout with Shakira as model (/actress/singer).
Make-up is running the gamut for fall from fresh and lovely to rich and vampy with special attention to skin and lips. Red is the color of choice when daring to be bold. Let's not leave out the dark violets or the sandy coppers. As always, wear what you feel beautiful in and try stretching it a bit with a darker liner or softer mouth.

Shades of violet and hues of royalty seem to be the trend for spring but with a South of France beach twist. Oh, I can't even think about spring collections yet. I have barely broken out my fabulous fall products. Like the scrumptious eye gloss palette from Chanel, and the delicious Scarlet Passion fall collection of color from Laura Mercier. Especially the cheek color duo in Whisper. Divine! And there is more fabulousness to come for the holidays. I'm holding my horses for spring and enjoying the colors and textures of the moment.
